Corpus Christi, Texas - Our kind and beloved husband, father, son and brother, William Paul Sharp, age 41, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away December 24, 2018 at the home of his brother in Lehi, Utah, after a brave and valiant 9 month battle with colon cancer. He was born February 1, 1977 in Murray, Utah, a son of Ronald Lynn and Janice Lynn Tomlinson Sharp. He graduated from Randall High School in Amarillo, Texas, Class of 1995. He attended College for 2 years. William served his country for 6 years in the United States Navy 5th Fleet on the USS Gettysburg. He married Amber Nelson November 1, 2007 in Sea Brook, Texas. To this union was added a beautiful daughter, Hannah Sharp . William was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he was an Elder and was currently serving as President of the Sunday School in the Corpus Christi 2nd Ward. William enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on automobiles. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad in telecommunications and he thoroughly loved his work. William is survived by his loving wife, Amber and their daughter, Hannah, both of Corpus Christi, Texas; his parents, Ron and Janice Sharp of Floydada, Texas; his siblings: Matthew Sharp of Lehi; Erin Janelle and Josh Phillips of Altamont; Terry and Christina Sharp of Richfield; Natalee and Joe Christensen of Tulia, Texas; Caralee and Garth Thomas of Lubbock, Texas; Sterling Sharp of Lehi. He is preceded in death by a brother, Tyler Sharp. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 12 Noon in the Richfield 1st, 3rd and 11th LDS Ward Chapel, 985 South 400 West in Richfield, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial with military honors acccorded by the Harold Brown American Legion Post #92 and the Utah Honor Guard will be Saturday afternoon at 4:00 P.M. in the Fremont Cemetery in Fremont, Utah, under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
