Gunnison, Utah - It is with broken hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved Tyler Jonathon Eyre, who left us far too soon on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at the age of 32. He was born on January 17, 1994.
Tyler was a beloved son, brother, father and friend. He had a deep love for God, nature, and his family. The people he loved meant more to him than words could express.
At the age of four, Tyler was lovingly adopted by his sister, Nina, who became his mother in every way that mattered. Although Nina was his sister by birth, she became his Mom by love, devotion and the life they shared together. Tyler called her Mom, and that is how he knew and loved her. He grew up in West Jordan, having many fun family vacations. He played football and attended Copper Hills High School.
Nina's husband, Terry, also stepped into Tyler's life and became a father to him. Terry loved Tyler deeply and was there for him as a father throughout his life. The bond they shared was built not simply by family ties, but by love, commitment and the choice to be there for one another.
Tyler married Aleina Eyre on September 21, 2018 in Wendover, Nevada. They divorced August of 2023. Tyler was a father to Zaibree, Max and Tripton, who will carry his memory with them throughout their lives.
Tyler had a heart that was bigger than himself. He was the kind of person who would give the shirt off his back to a complete stranger if they needed it. He cared deeply for people and often gave without expecting anything in return. His compassion and willingness to help others were a beautiful part of who he was.
Tyler loved God, spending time in nature and being with his family. He found peace in the outdoors and had an appreciation for the beauty around him. Above all, he loved the people in his life and wanted those around him to know they mattered.
Tyler's life was not without struggles, but those struggles do not define who he was. Beneath them was a loving heart, a deep faith in God, and a person who continued to hope and strive to become better.
He is survived by his mother, Nina; his father in every way that mattered, Terry; his siblings: Kristy, Trudy, Mindy, Alyssa, Brayden and Ray; his children: Zaibree, Max and Tripton; many extended family members and friends who loved him dearly.
He is preceded in death by great-grandmother, Waltraut Bower Bradley; grandfather, Terryl Lynn Eyre, birth mother, Linda Ellen Martin.
Tyler's time with us was far too short, but the love he gave, the lived he touched, and the memories he created will remain with his family and friends forever.
Rest peacefully, Tyler. You were loved more than words can every say. You will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and never forgotten.
Graveside Services for Tyler will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, August 22, 2026 in the Gunnison City Cemetery, 550 North Cemetery Road, Gunnison. Friends may call for viewing that morning from 10:00 - 11:30 A.M. at the Gunnison LDS Stake Center, 80 West Center Street, Gunnison, Utah prior to services.
Burial will be in the Gunnison Cemetery under the care of Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
