Terryl Eyre

Gunnison, Utah - Terryl Lynn Eyre, age 76, passed away on August 28, 2025 in Salt Lake City. He was born on May 13, 1949 in Phoenix, Arizona to DuWayne Lowman and Maxine Leany Eyre. He spent his childhood living in Tahoe, Arizona, and St. George. He graduated from Dixie High and went on to become a Master Plumber.

Terryl married Lorilee Casper on May 14, 1980 in West Jordan.

He enjoyed computers, hot wheels cars, and family history. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Terryl was survived by his wife, Lorilee Eyre of Gunnison; sons: Terryl (Nina) Eyre, Christopher (Trena) Eyre all of West Jordan, Steven Eyre of Cottonwood; daughters: Elizabeth Mower of Tooele, Linda Eyre of Nephi; father, DuWayne Eyre of Las Vegas, Nevada; sisters: Dawnita (Jeff) Floyd, Nadine, all of Elsinore, Leannea (Calvin) of Tooele.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Maxine Eyre, step mother, Ora Eyre, and Annette Jorgensen.

Graveside services with Honors accorded by the Utah Department of Corrections Honor Guard, Gunnison, Utah will be held Monday, September 8, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Gunnison Cemetery.

Friends may call for viewing at the Gunnison LDS Stake Center, 80 West Center Street, in Gunnison, Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 prior to the services.

Burial will be in the Gunnison City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
