Torrey, Utah - Tamara MacKay Bagley, age 75, our beautiful and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, passed away at her Torrey home on October 16th, 2025.

After years of saying she wanted "a good obituary someday", she has finally earned one - and knowing her, she's probably laughing about it right now!

The Story of Tamie's life was full of Love, Family, Friends, Challenges and Experiences. She raised 3 beautiful daughters that she was extremely proud of in every aspect of their lives. She fell in love with Gary at a young age, telling his mother when she was 10 years old that she was going to marry him. They were married for 54 exciting and challenging years. She survived and supported Gary's many adventures with courage, and hope. However, she did write a book about the 7 times she had to move in their first year of marriage with her furniture in the back of a ten wheel dump truck, appropriately called "A Year of Hell in a Small Town". Tamie enjoyed traveling to all corners of the world. She would pack suit cases full of clothes and supplies to take to many of the underpriveledged countries and villages she visited. She loved the people and diverse cultures of those villages. She was a Mother and a Teacher who loved singing and painting. In her younger years, she loved diving and water ballet. She developed a love and passion for animals at a young age and actually carried on two-way conversations with them. Her favorites - Bronco (her dog), Paddy Cakes (her cat), Thor (her enormous Texas longhorn), Valero and Chevy (her horses), will all miss her daily treats and conversations.

Tamie loved her family above all else, especially her grandkids, nieces and nephews. She also had a well known love affair with movies, lattes and her Mustang - a sense of freedom on wheels of which she had one speeding ticket in her life and cried for a week over it. Her daughters will fight over who gets her rather infamous license plate.

Tamie was a philanthropist, helping family, friends and others in need. Yes, she tipped excessively well.

Tamie lived a life overflowing with love, laughter and lattes. She was endlessly generous, fiercely kind, and had a knack for making everyone feel like they were her favorite person - and in her presence, they were. She had a heart big enough for everyone. A true friend to all, she had a rare ability to make everyone feel seen, valued and loved. Her kindness left a lasting mark on every life she touched. As a wife, she knew how to make dinner reservations every night. Though she's no longer with us, we'll carry her love, kindness and malapropisms in our hearts forever. We can't help but smile knowing she's still making friends, seeing and spoiling her heavenly animals and still enjoying that well deserved latte somewhere beautiful. And yes, she's getting her hair and nails done weekly.

Tamie was born on July 23rd, 1950, at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was the oldest daughter of Keith P. MacKay and Ardith Averett MacKay. She is survived by and will be greatly missed by her husband, Gary and three Daughters - Amy (Rob) Tincher, Samantha (Jeremy) Stout and Ali (Jeremy) Hopkin. She had 5 grandchildren, Jessye Sue Berg (31), Kaleb Hopkin (30), Elle Green (19), Aydan Tincher (19) and Ethan Tincher (15). She is also survived by her two loving sisters, Debbie Helton (Shawn) and Marcee Pentelute (Mark) … and all her beloved Nieces, Nephews and In-Laws.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
