Hanksville, Utah - Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, neighbor and friend, Steven Phyl Morrill age 64 of Hanksville, moved on to greener pastures in the early hours of October 13, 2017 after a losing battle with heart disease. Steve was born on August 3, 1953 in Murray. A son of Phyl Covington and Karma June Lund Morrill. He attended Wayne High School and graduated with the class of 1972. He attended the Sevier Valley Tech. He married LaMiya Noyes on July 3, 1982 in Las Vegas, Nevada. On January 17, 1991 they were sealed for time and eternity in the Manti LDS Temple, Manti, Utah. Steve was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Steve was a craftsman. He enjoyed welding and made sure he taught his boys the skill. He loved working with metal to create. He was a mechanic also. He enjoyed riding horses, and liked herding cows. When his children were small he could often be found leading a horse around the yard with his kids riding happily in the saddle. He enjoyed being in the mountains, especially the Henry Mountains. Even though his health was poor he made sure he went on the Elk hunt this year. He loved to hunt and fish. He loved to spend time with his family. More than anything he lived for his grand babies. His kids were alright, but his grandbabies were very special to him. He is survived by his wife LaMiya Noyes Morrill of Hanksville; his children: Brock and Wendy Morrill of Hanksville; Dawn and Chris Winn of Ferron; Christopher and Samantha Morrill of Vernal; Brian Morrill of Hanksville; siblings: Ron and Sherri Morrill of Whiterocks; Vance and Elaine Morrill of Grover; Kaye and Allen Marshall of Sandy; Kim and Randy Bradbury of Fremont; Bobbie and David Peterson of Monroe; Doug and Diane Morrill Washington; 10 grandchildren.
