Hanksville, Utah - Our kind and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, Sharlet Ruth Hamilton Wells, age 75, passed into the loving arms of our Savior and her awaiting loving parents after courageously battling complications of pneumonia on Friday, April 28, 2017 in Grand Junction, Colorado. She was born December 8, 1941 in Price, Utah, a daughter of Calvin Alonzo and Araminna Lola Beal Hamilton. She graduated from Carbon County High School, Class of 1960 and then attended Snow College in Ephraim. She married her eternal companion, Donald Laroy Wells, July 29, 1960 in the Manti LDS Temple. Sharlet was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in the Primary Presidency and as a Primary Teacher, Relief Society Teacher, Sunday School Teacher and church custodian for 19 years. She was a certified Emergency Medical Technician for 20 years, served on the Hanksville Town Council and coached girls softball. She also drove the Senior Citizen bus and helped with the food pantry. Sharlet was an expert gardener, loved oil painting landscapes of her desert home, sewing, quilting, crocheting and rock collecting. Spending time with her family and grandchildren was her favorite thing to do and her greatest achievement and joy. She is survived by her beloved husband, Donald, of Hanksville; her children: Lance (Lisa) Wells, Hanksville; Sandy (Chris) Wilkinson, Morgan; Bill (Jennifer) Wells, Russ (Ann) Wells, Doug (Mona) Wells, Dan (Betsy) Wells, all of Hanksville; 35 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Rodney (Marilyn) Hamilton of Big Piney, Wyoming; Clint (Vickie) Hamilton, Pat Rhoades, all of Roosevelt; Carolyn (Darrell) Hadden of Vernal. She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Lola Hamilton. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. in the Hanksville LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 9:30 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Hanksville Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Donald L. Wells, P.O.
