Our beloved sister, aunt and friend, Ruth Jane Dall, age 89, passed away October 9, 2024, in Salt Lake City, with her family by her side. She was born September 7, 1935, in Richfield, Utah, a daughter of Henry David and Elva Goulding Dall.
Her growing up years were spent on the family farm, near Richfield, doing all the daily chores that were required. She would say, “I’m still a farmer at heart.” She was always grateful for the time and experience she had working on the farm with her father.
Ruth graduated from Richfield High School and Stevens Heneger School of Business.
She is a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served a 2-year mission in the Brazilian South Mission and served in many ward and stake callings and also served as a member of the Primary General Board. She was an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple for over 20 years. Ruth was known as the “Cheese Tart Sister” in her ward.
Ruth enjoyed traveling. Her trip to Israel with the BYU Study Abroad Program was one of the greatest experiences in her life – “to study and walk where the Savior walked and taught.”
Ruth will be deeply missed by family and friends.
She is survived by her sister, Sharon (Dale) Blackham; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, four brothers: Ellis (Miriam) Dall; Devon Dall, Maitlon (Jean) Dall; Henry (Helen) Dall; and a sister: Frances (Ardith Bernard) Fish.
In accordance with Ruth’s wishes there will be no public funeral services. She will be buried in the Richfield City Cemetery next to her loving parents, under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
