Roger Clyde Behunin

Torrey, Utah- Roger Clyde Behunin, age 83 passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 27th in Torrey, Utah. Roger was born on January 6, 1942 in Torrey to Clyde and Faye Behunin. He grew up in there helping his Dad and Grandpa on the farm. In his younger years, he was always an active young boy playing with friends and sometimes getting into trouble. Roger was obsessed with the life of a cowboy. He was excited when he was old enough to get his deer hunting license to go hunting. While attending Wayne High School, he participated in sports, traveled to Kansas with the FFA group and especially enjoyed being on the debate team. He has said his time spent in high school were very happy days.

Roger married Mary Elaine Albrecht, August 14, 1959 and they started their family. He started college at BYU but did not finish his degree because of family responsibilities. Roger and Mary were the parents of 4 children. They later divorced. Roger then met and married Kay Lou Wheeler, they divorced. He later met and married Sherri Gagon soon after they moved to Torrey. At that time he worked with his father in a rock crushing business. Roger and Sherri divorced and he made the move to St. George, Ut.

Roger had an interesting and eventful life working in auto dealerships, radio stations and with his father in heavy equipment. Roger worked for Ford Motors and was always looking for the "best deal" for people buying a car. He was great at connecting with people in any situation.

Surviving children: Dave and Susan Behunin, Don and Camille Behunin, Michelle and Gabriel Waters. Sister: Lois (Gerry) Hoddenbach. 

He is preceded in death by his parents Clyde and Faye Behunin and his son Darryl Behunin.

Cremation services are under the care of Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina.
