"Rusty" Colby

Richfield, Utah - Rusty (Rance) Casto Colby passed away peacefully in his sleep of natural causes on October 26, 2026, just three days shy of his 70th birthday. He was born on October 29, 1956, in Richfield, Utah, to Allie and Clinton Colby.

From a young age, Rusty loved trucks, tractors and animals of every kind. He enjoyed visits from family and friends and treasured the time spent with those who came to see him. Children especially loved Rusty and he held a special place in their hearts.

He is survived by many family members and friends, including his favorite (and only) sister, Micala Jensen, along with all those who cared for him and will miss him dearly.

Rusty was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, and his wife, Sherry Dannis Colby.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, November 7, 2026, in the Richfield City Cemetery.

The family extends a special thank-you to everyone who supported Rusty throughout his life. Your kindness, compassion, and friendship meant so much. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rusty’s name to the Sevier Animal Shelter, in honor of his lifelong love of animals.
