Salina, Utah - On September 27, 2021, this earth was left with a tremendous void, while heaven gained a marvelous angel and was rejoined with the love of her life Danny a day after their 52nd Wedding Anniversary. RaeAnn Woolsey (70) returned to her Father in Heaven after a courageous and hard battle of internal bleeding and other complications. Throughout her sudden illness she remained strong, valiant and despite the pain and increasing frustration and fear that each day presented, she definitely did not go without a fight! RaeAnn even fought hard to stay here on earth in her final moments. RaeAnn did have what she wanted the most and had family at her side up to her last breath. RaeAnn was born in Salina, Utah, on July 7, 1951, to Thurland and Erna Williams. She grew up in Salina Utah and stayed living there to raise her kids the in town she always called home. She attended and graduated North Sevier High School and also went and got her Cosmetology License from Sevier Valley Technology School. RaeAnn and Danny met while dragging main in Richfield, Utah and they instantly knew they were meant for each other. They continued to date on and off for the next 6 months until 1969 when Danny was drafted into the United States Army; they quickly decided it was time to get married and eloped in the front room of her sister’s home in Tacoma WA on September 26, 1969, right before he left to the Vietnam War. They were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Manti Temple, on April 11th, 1987. RaeAnn had an incredible love for the outdoors and nature. If she wasn’t home working around the house, playing with the kids, or doing hair for clients the basement of their home, you could always find her up in the mountains. She loved to go on 4-wheeler rides, fishing, or just to take a drive to get some fresh mountain air. The mountains gave her true peace and tranquility as much as her family did. She loved the gospel of Jesus Christ and practically perfected the art of loving others, unconditionally. She was kind, generous, and served others willingly. She held several church callings and served in those callings faithfully. Her favorite calling with in the church was doing family history as family was everything to her. If you knew RaeAnn, you knew just how much every family member meant to her and those that knew her, loved her. RaeAnn was charismatic, classy, joyful, kind, thoughtful, strong-willed, nurturing, warm and confident. She loved to have fun and make memories with everyone she loved, especially her grandkids. RaeAnn had an array of accomplished talents. She was an incredible at crocheting, was a great hair dresser, care giver, and family historian. She made quilts by hand, and could fix anything on her own. She became proficient at home repair, wall papering, flooring installation, and gardening. She was always making sure that their large yard was taken care of and looked beautiful. She would even get on a large ladder with a dull saw just to trim a tree to make it look better. RaeAnn was an incredible and accomplished homemaker. She was a loving wife and mother and taught her children to grow in faith in the gospel. She sacrificed so much to support Danny in his jobs both in the Army and with the State of Utah. She always supported her boys in school and with any challenges that came their way. She would even take the boys out to go hunting with them when Danny was working so they could go on all the hunts and would always take them fishing as well. RaeAnn loved to travel! She would always say “I have looked at these 4 walls long enough; I am going for a drive.” She would then hop into the car and would just go where her heart would take her. When Danny retired, their main goal was to visit every state in the US, and they almost achieved seeing all 50 states before Danny passed. Even after his passing, RaeAnn would still get into her car, and travel to see new areas. Her favorite trip was a spontaneous decision and went on an Alaskan cruise on a spur of the moment. RaeAnn loved her sweet little grandkids! They made her day every time they would call her just to say a quick hello or show her their special little projects they were working on. She was the most tremendous, amazing grandmother that any grandchild could ever ask for. She would always just go kick the ball and play soccer, get on the floor and push trains around, or just cheer them on as they goofed off around her. She would always make sure that she would send special treats to them so that she could hear their excitement that Grandma thought about them. About a month before she left this earth, she was just at the park, playing with them. She would always try so hard to make sure they would have lasting memories of her playing with them. Without any real effort, she always left a lasting impression on people and could always be found serving others. She touched so many lives, not just those of her immediate family and extended family. She will be deeply missed by so many, and we will rejoice in the future at our reunion with her. RaeAnn is survived by their three sons and their families: Gregory (Felicia) Woolsey, Lake Point Utah; Russell (Castina) Woolsey, Mesquite, Nevada; Adam (Cody) Woolsey, Cedar City, Utah; her 3 sweet special Grandkids, August, Carter and Hudson; her siblings; Carroll (Jack) Morris, Orem, Utah; Glen Williams, Cheyenne, Wyoming; Ione (Melvin) Hughes, Mesquite Nevada; Clyde Williams, Salina, Utah; Don Williams, South Jordan, Utah; Burke (Terrilyn) Williams Redmond, Utah; and many nieces and nephews.
