Salina, Utah -Our most beloved hero, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Rae Eugene Noyes, Jr, age 89 returned to his heavenly father and into the loving arms of his wife Gwen on Sunday, November 30, 2025. Rae peacefully passed away at his home surrounded by his loving children and grandchildren.

Rae was born on April 8, 1936, to Dr. Rae Eugene and Helen Charlotte Noyes in Salt Lake City. While attending North Sevier High School, he met the love of his life, Gwendolyn Sorensen. They married on July 29, 1955, and were sealed for time and all eternity in the Manti Temple. They were blessed with three beautiful children: Gregory (Cindy) Noyes, Daryl (Carolee) Noyes, Belinda (Donald) Ervine. Their posterity has grown to include at the present time 9 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Rae attended North Sevier High School where he participated in many school activities. He served as Student Body President of the high school. Rae later attended Snow College where he played football.

He grew up in Salina where he worked alongside his dad on the farm, which was a passion he later shared with his son Daryl and some of his grandsons. He spent many years raising cattle and riding the mountain gathering them with his sons and grandsons. This led to many memories for members of the family and formed many lifelong friendships.

In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing with some of his closest friends. Later, he widened this circle to include his sons.

Rae was always very active in the community. He spent many years as a member of the Salina Fire Department. He also served his community in numerous other organizations, some of which were Jaycee's, Salina Riding Club, and the Lions Club. He spent many years as a supervisor for the Sevier County Conservation District and served as an officer on numerous water boards. His hard work led to several awards and recognitions such as Conservation Farmer of the Year and Fourth of July Grand Marshall. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he served numerous callings.

In 2022, he lost the love of his life, which broke his heart. He carried on the best he could in her absence but eventually lost his desire to carry on without her. Despite wanting greatly to be here for some momentous upcoming family events, the birth of a new great-granddaughter and a new great-great-grandchild his lonesomeness for Gwen was greater. Although we are all heartbroken, we understand this lost connection.

He is survived by his son Daryl (Carolee) Noyes, his daughter Belinda (Donald) Ervine all of Salina, daughter-in-law Cindy (Craig) Jensen of Riverton, 9 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren, sister Sylvia (George) Cobabe of Ogden, sister-in-law Jan Noyes (David) of Georgetown, Texas and numerous nephews and nieces.

He was proceeded in death by his beautiful wife Gwen, his son Gregory Noyes, his parents Dr. Rae Eugene and Helen Noyes, sister and brother-in-law Carolyn (Noyes) and Calvin Luke and brother David Noyes.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday December 5, 2025 in the Salina LDS Stake Center, 98 West 400 North, where friends may call for viewing from 6-8 P.M. on Thursday, December 4, 2025 and from 11:30 A.M.-12:30 P.M. at the stake center the morning of the services.
