Elsinore, Utah - Philip Kells Bredsguard, a loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away on July 27, 2025, at the age of 87, in Richfield. He was born in Richfield on August 4, 1937, to Waldo William and Eula Grace Coleman Bredsguard.

Philip grew up in Monroe and had fond memories driving tractors on the farm, hunting, and learning leatherwork and woodworking, hobbies he would enjoy throughout his life. Philip attended South Sevier High School, where he graduated in 1955. He attended Southern Utah University. He worked several months at Kennecott Copper in McGill, NV. He completed the Union Floor Covering School in LA. He also attended College of the Canyons , Valencia, California and earned a mechanics certificate in 1973. He drove truck and hauled explosives for W.A. Murphy company for 25 years, which he took great pride in and greatly enjoyed.

He married Ann Marlene Johnson in Elsinore on May 30, 1957, starting their long wonderful life together. They were later sealed and endowed in the Los Angeles temple. They were happily married and devoted to each other for 68 years. For many years of their marriage they spent living in California. After retiring, they returned back to Utah.

Philip's passion for woodworking brought him immense joy. He had a unique talent for cabinetry and restoring antiques. During and for a short time after high school, he worked for "Bredsguard painting and decorating" where he developed a talent for painting. He enjoyed his old, restored Farmall Super C tractor, attending car truck and tractor shows and garage sales. He also had a wonderful sense of humor. He always had a funny story or joke to tell. Philip had a motto that he lived his life by and that he shared to all that knew him, "Anything worth doing is worth doing right or not at all."
