Fremont, Utah - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Patty Maria Hansen of Fremont, Utah on June 15, 2025.
Patty was born on December 28, 1945, in Kearney, Nebraska, the daughter of Glen Milton and Marian Lea Elmore Wiseman. She was one of five siblings: Pierre, Judy, Kerry, Sherry, and Donald (Kathy).
Patty lived a life filled with love. She married her first husband, Donald Conboy, and together they had two children, Kimberly and Michael Conboy. Donald passed away unexpectedly in 1966.
After this heartbreaking loss, Patty found love again with John Hansen. Patty and John were married on December 2, 1967, in Las Vegas, Nevada. John loved Patty deeply and embraced her children as his own. After settling in West Jordan, Utah, they completed their family by adding three more kids: Kevin, Paul, and Justin Hansen.
Following John's retirement, the couple built their dream home in Fremont, Utah, where they both lived out the rest of their lives. Patty worked at the Chapel Cheese until she retired.
Patty was a warm and loving soul. She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was also involved with the American Legion. She and John shared a special bond through their love of bowling, proudly collecting numerous trophies over the years. Most of all, Patty cherished spending time with her family. She especially loved hosting everyone during Hometown Days where her competitive spirit would shine during rounds of UNO and Yahtzee. Winning was never the goal — it was about the laughter and the memories we made together.
Patty endured many losses throughout her life but remained resilient and grounded in love. She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Marian; her siblings Pierre, Judy, Kerry, and Sherry; her husbands, Donald and John; and her sons, Mike and Kevin.
Patty is survived by her brother Donald Wiseman (Kathy), her children, Kimberly (Kelly) Vail, Paul Hansen, and Justin (Melissa) Hansen; 18 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren — each of whom brought her tremendous pride and joy. Her legacy lives on in the stories they share, the laughter that echoes through the generations.
The family would like to thank everyone who has reached out with love and support during this difficult time. The family would like to extend their deepest thanks to the friends and community of Wayne County, whose love and support meant so much throughout the years. A special thank you to the staff at Springer and Turner Funeral Home.
John and Patty’s cherished Bible Verse: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
A Celebration of Patty's Life will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. in the Fremont Cemetery, South Cemetery Lane, Fremont, Utah 84747.
