Beaver Dam, AZ/Salina, UT - Patsy Lee Barney Sorensen Williams passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was 84 years old.

Pat was born July 13, 1941 in Elsinore, Utah, a daughter of Leland and Sylvia Leonard Barney, and from the very beginning, she lived life with warmth, generosity, and joy. She often reminisced about her younger years, which were filled with accomplishment and memorable moments. Pat was a straight-A student, valedictorian of her class, class president, a Dream Majorette, a Boys and Girls Day Queen, and the number one trumpet player in her school. One of her favorite stories to share was the time she was personally invited by Colonel Sanders to ride alongside him on a parade float in downtown Salt Lake City.

She married the love of her life, Nard Sorensen, and together they raised two beautiful daughters, Marlisa and Natalie. Pat and Nard shared a deep love for travel, the outdoors, and especially the mountains. They belonged to a large, close-knit group of friends who fondly called themselves the Rat Pac. Together, they hosted lively gatherings for family and friends in the Wasatch Mountains and made countless memories at Snowbird, where each had their own timeshare at the Iron Blossom. Pat loved Friday nights at Ledgemere for a round of cards and their camping trips to the Spruces, where their homemade ice cream was unforgettable.

In 1997, Pat and Nard moved to Beaver Dam, Arizona, where they continued to embrace new adventures and friendships. They purchased a Polaris, side-by-side, off road ATV and enjoyed evening rides and beautiful sunsets. Pat was truly an adventurous person, she couldn’t be told no, if she had made up her mind to do something, well she did it. Like the time she decided she was going skydiving. Despite family concerns, Pat went skydiving for the first time at the age of 65. She lived and loved the adventure, she was a feisty, fun, never quit at anything individual who made everyone laugh with her quick-witted jokes and remarks.

After Nard’s passing in 2009, Pat was blessed to find love again with her sweetheart, Roger Williams. In 2020, they were married in a quaint white chapel, and from that day forward, they were inseparable, sharing life’s simple joys side by side. Roger shared Pat’s love of travel and in their almost five years together they went to Europe, Hawaii, an Alaskan cruise, Glacier National Park, and many more countless road trip adventures. The time they had together was truly something special.

Pat’s beauty shone from the inside out. Her presence could light up any room, and her caring spirit made everyone feel welcome and valued. She poured her heart into her family, and nothing brought her more joy than her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, of whom she was endlessly proud. Her life was rich in love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Pat leaves behind a legacy of kindness and connection that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Roger Williams, her daughter Marlisa Sorensen, 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, her loving sister Bonnie Hope, and many dear friends and extended family who will carry her memory in their hearts.

Pat is preceded in death by her husband, Nard Sorensen; her beloved daughter, Natalie; her cherished grandson, Jake; and her brother-in-law, Blair Hope.
