Our loving Husband, Father, Brother, Grandfather, Uncle, and Friend, Michael Arlen Brown, was welcomed back into the arms of his loving Heavenly Father on August 6, 2021. He was born on the snowy Christmas Eve of 1956 in Richfield, Utah to Arlen LaVor and Lorna Coleman Brown, and was raised alongside three siblings, Arla May, Albert, and Ellis, in Loa, Utah. Michael graduated from Wayne High School Class of 1975. He had a need for speed since the day he was born, and always got to where he needed to go . . . FAST! As a young teenager Michael discovered a passion for hot-rods, and it continued to flourish until his last day. He owned and polished several bad-ass cars in his lifetime! Michael married and was sealed to his high-school sweetheart, Becky Oyler, in the Manti Temple on December 17, 1976. They created their happy home in Loa, Utah where together they were blessed with three beautiful daughters – Tifanie, Trina, and Kami. He was taught the value of hard work at a very young age and started running construction equipment before he learned to ride a bike. His blood ran Caterpillar yellow! Michael played an integral role in building the legacy of Brown Brothers Construction and dedicated the better part of 40 years of his life to the continued success of the family business. His network of friends and colleagues in the construction industry were far-reaching. Michael was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was a loyal servant of our Savior, Jesus Christ and held many callings. He especially enjoyed his time serving in several Stake Presidencies, Bishoprics, and the Stake Sunday School. He enjoyed being involved in the community he lived in and loved. He was a member of the Loa Fire Department, Wayne Lions Club, many car clubs, and was serving on the Loa Town Planning and Zoning Committee at the time of his passing. Nothing made Michael happier than spending time with his family. He worked diligently to create a special bond with his wife, each of his daughters, and grandchildren. The weekend before his passing he enjoyed the annual Brown Family Reunion camping trip on Thousand Lake Mountain, where he made sure the crowd of people heard him say how grateful he was to have been blessed with three daughters and how well they always took care of him. He loved a good story, and someone to tell it to. Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Arlen and Lorna, Fathers-In-Law, Lester J Oyler, and Jack Putnam, a nephew, Dallas Arlen Brown, and numerous aunts, uncles, and dear friends. He will be missed by his loving and caring wife, Becky Brown of Loa; children: Tifanie Spencer (Ronald Newman) of Bicknell, Trina (James) Pace of Teasdale, Kami (Geordin) Gass of Circleville; Mother-In-Law: DeOna S Oyler of Loa; siblings: Arla May (Duane) Jensen of Roosevelt, Albert (Jan) Brown, and Ellis (Kori) Brown of Loa; Sisters-In-Law: Tammy (Gordon) Johnson, of Redmond, Valene (Bruce) King of Axtell, and Leslie Oyler of Loa. He will be greatly missed by all that new him, but especially his 9 grandchildren. Michael truly endured to the end. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 14, at 1:00 P.M. in the Loa LDS Stake Center. Friends may call for viewing Friday, August 13, from 6-8 P.M. at the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel in Richfield, 260 North 400 West, and at the Stake Center Saturday Morning from 10-12:30 prior to the services.
