Las Vegas, Nevada - Marvin “Hap” Keith Schubert, Jr. was born January 26, 1961, to Marvin Keith and Beverly Jean Gohn Schubert Sr. in Burlington, Iowa. His family moved to Las Vegas, NV in 1969 where he attended school and graduated from Ed W. Clark High School in 1979. Hap married Tammy Jo Hanson in 1988 in Las Vegas. Hap started his welding and gases career at KR Welding Supply, which eventually became Airgas Welding Supply. He began as a driver, later becoming the manager of two stores and eventually deciding inside sales was more to his liking. He worked with Airgas for 33 years. Prior to his career at Airgas, he was a motorcycle mechanic, sparking his love for gas engines. He enjoyed working on any kind of engine, cars and all of their miscellaneous parts. He loved any kind of gun, hunting and fishing, as well as riding motorcycles, ATVs and his most recent discovery of side-by-sides. Hap was 60 years old when he passed away Saturday, February 27th,in Las Vegas, Nevada, surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by his three children, David Hanson of Las Vegas, NV, Danny (Amanda) Hanson of Las Vegas, NV, Chance (Patrick Kuhlman) Schubert of Bentonville, AR; two grandchildren, Kaline & Jack Hanson of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Jeannie Schubert of Las Vegas, NV; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Hap was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 260 North 400 West in Richfield, Utah on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. where friends may call for viewing Wednesday morning one hour prior to the services. Burial will be at the Monroe City Cemetery, Monroe, Utah under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
