Richfield, Utah - Lorenzo H Begay, age 72, passed away on April 12, 2026 in Provo.

He was born on April 22, 1953 in Zuni, New Mexico to Charley H. and Mary Adakai Begay. Lorenzo grew up in Jones Ranch, New Mexico, where he had fond memories of fishing, hunting, camping, and watching rodeos - activities that he enjoyed his entire life.

Lorenzo married his devoted wife, Ethel Green on September 19, 1980 in Gallup, New Mexico, they spent 46 wonderful years together.

He is survived by his wife, Ethel Begay of Richfield; his children: Menessa Begaye of Richfield, Detrick Begay of New Halem, Washington, Lynette (Vonny) Dunigan of Ephraim; 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; his siblings: Thomas H. Begay, George Begay, Manuel E. Begaye, Johnny Begay, Alice M. Begay, Annie H. Begay, and Mary L. Begay.

Preceded in death by his parents: Charley and Mary H Begay, his son: Derrick Charles Begay, and his brothers: John E. Begay and Edward Begay.

Funeral services for Lorenzo will be held at 11:30 A.M. Monday, April 20, 2026 at the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel in Richfield. A viewing will be held from 10:00-11:00 A.M. prior to services.

Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery under the care of Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina.
