Las Vegas, Nevada – Our beloved wife, mother, sister, neighbor, and friend, Laurie Alice Aaron Danise, age 53, passed away January 19, 2021, in Las Vegas, Nevada from complications related to COVID-19. Laurie was born September 29, 1967, in Richfield, Utah to James Ramon and Barbara Brewer Aaron. She attended Richfield High School, graduating with the class 1985. Education continued to be important to her after high school. She attended Snow College, Southern Utah University, and Nova Southeastern University where she earned her Master’s Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language. She married Brian Kirk Danise on March 27, 1999, and together they raised a son, Jeffrey James Danise. Laurie was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was active in many callings throughout her life, including Primary President, Nursery Leader, Cub Scout leader, and Second Counselor in the Relief Society Presidency. She loved to get outside and enjoyed many outdoor activities including camping, hunting, and four-wheeling. When she wasn’t outside, she loved reading, watching Hallmark movies, and cooking and baking with her son. Laurie taught school for 31 years in the Clark County School District ending her career at Lee Antonello Elementary School teaching Intermediate Autism. Teaching and children were her whole life. She loved to watch her school kids grow and develop with her aid and guidance. She took great pride in her work with the kids and their parents. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her and loved her. Laurie is survived by her husband, Brian Kirk Danise her son, Jeffrey James Danise, both of Las Vegas, Nevada; her brothers: Bart (Sandy) Aaron of American Fork; Odis (Coene) Aaron of Magna; Brett (Kristen) Aaron of West Jordan; Shawn (Careene) Eliot of Elk Ridge; father and mother-in-law: Ralph and Kathy Danise; siblings-in-law: David and Rebecca Danise of Las Vegas; Brett and Kelly Danise of West Jordan; Sandi and Michael Mahalak of Henderson, Nevada, Adam and Melodye Danise of Henderson, Nevada. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Lois Ann; a brother-in-law: Darren Danise. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 28, at 1:00 P.M. at the Richfield City Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing one hour prior to the services at the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel, 260 North 400 West in Richfield. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
