Centerfield, Utah - Kenneth “Kenny” Billington, 89, of Centerfield, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2026. He was a man known for his strength, independence, and unwavering loyalty to those he loved.
Kenny was born to Harley H. Billington and Ruby L. Billington. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mamie Billington, who passed away in July 2018.
He is survived by his sister, Diana L. Entsminger; his sister-in-law, Teresa Wright; his nephew and niece, Allen Jay Entsminger and Leslie A. Burger; as well as many dear friends who became like family over the years.
Kenny spent much of his life working as a sheepherder, a testament to his hardworking nature and deep connection to the land. Though he could be rough around the edges, those who knew him best understood that he had a heart of gold. He was always willing to lend a hand and would do whatever he could to help his family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m on Thursday, May 7th at the Axtell Cemetery. A luncheon will follow in his honor at the Axtell LDS Ward Chapel, 75 East Center Street in Axtell, for those who wish to gather, share memories, and celebrate Kenny’s life.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Services are under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
