Annabella, Utah - We have just lost a wonderful wife, mother, sister, family member and friend. Kathleen Morrill Morgan Higgins passed away on August 23, 2025 in Annabella, Utah at the age of 74.

She was born in Roosevelt, Utah, in November 28, 1950, to Clinton L. and Maxine Nyberg  Morrill. She spent her life in New Mexico and Utah, where she settled in Annabella to live out the rest of her life. She had three boys, Cody Morgan, Clay Morgan, and Chad Morgan. Their father John was a kind man, and a major influence on our children. Thank you, John, for your guidance with our sons while they were growing up.

Kathy married Kent Higgins in 1998. He was the love of her life; he meant the world to her. He cared for her and loved her in all ways. Kathys’ main joy in life was her husband Kent, and her children. Her sons, Cody, Clay and Chad, 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. Her stepdaughter Kandice and 3 grandchildren.

Survived by her husband Kent Higgins; brother Ed Morrill (Kim); 3 children: Cody Morgan (Amy), 6 children, 5 grandchildren; Clay Morgan (Randa), 5 children, 1 grandchild; Chad Morgan, 1 child; her stepdaughter Kandice Scruggs and 3 step-grandchildren.

Proceeded in death by her 2 siblings: Bill Morrill, and Gwen Morrill.

Special thanks to Shara Olsen (Care Giver) for her devoted kindness and patient nature. To Steven Wallingtin (Oncologist) and his nursing staff, all the nursing staff from Gunnison Valley Hospital for their kind and unrelenting compassion given to her. Special shout out to Luci.

She was the light in the room, the friend in the mist, and one who you trusted with a candid thought. Always showing her interest in the lives of others.

A “Celebration of her life” will be held at the Clay and Randa Morgan residence, 471 West 2300 South in Richfield,  on Sept 5, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

A private family only graveside service will be held at a later date, under the care of Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina.

In lieu of flowers or plants a donation to Best Friends Animal Society would be her preference. Please donate in her honor. Bestfriends.org/sanctuary
