Elsinore, Utah – Our loving mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and friend to all she ever knew, Irene Rose DiGiacomo, age 64, left this world suddenly on June 10, 2021, peacefully in the comfort of her own home in Elsinore. She was born October 18, 1956 in Summit, Ohio, a daughter of Ugo Anthony and Rosemarie Jean Alexander DiGiacomo. She graduated from Granada Hills High School, Class of 1975. While living in California, she was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes School and Church for eight years, and then she joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Irene married Jon M. Batistic September 9, 1995 in Los Angeles, California. They were later divorced. Irene had a contagious laugh and smile. She loved to suntan while watering her yard; she loved to be in the outdoors. She loved all of her animals. She spent a lot of her time playing and hanging out with her furry friends. Irene helped everyone that came to her in need, without questions. She would give them the shirt off of her back or the last dollar she had. She loved to go fishing, and spending time with her children. The Green Bay Packers was her favorite football team. She loved life and she lived a full one. She will be missed by all of those who loved her. We will all look forward to seeing her again someday. Until we meet again, Irene, we love you and are glad you are finally at peace. She is survived by her father, Ugo Antony DiGiacomo of Henderson, Nevada; children: Amy and Roger Metz of Tega Cay, South Carolina; Vannesa Batistic of Elsinore; Victoria Batistic of Parowan; Jon Batistic Jr. of Tooele; grandchildren: Rowan Metz, Rheya Metz and Tayzlee Tiana Rose Batistic; brother, Mike and Chantal DiGiacomo of Northridge, California; niece, Sarah Victoria Wittingham of Parma, Ohio and a nephew, Anthony Michael DiGiacomo of Lakewood, California. She is preceded in death by a sister-in-law: Wendy DiGiacomo; her mother, Rosemarie Jean DiGiacomo and a long time friend, Shawn Peterson. Memorial services will be held at a later date under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
