Heather Christenson Snarr, age 47, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025 in her home in Provo, Utah.
Heather was born on April 17, 1978, in Logan, Utah to Bruce F. Christenson and Alice Chappell Christenson. She grew up on her family’s fourth- generation farm, where she learned the value of hard work- moving sprinklers, chopping hay, and helping wherever she was needed, often late into the night.
During her years in high school, Heather shared her many talents as the pianist for the choir and as a member of the drill team. She graduated in 1996 and went on to attend Snow College.
Heather married Wade Snarr in 1997. During their 15 years of marriage they had 5 beautiful children.
Her love for music began when she started playing the piano at just seven years old, eventually studying with Dr. Smith at BYU during her high school years. She could bring a piece of music to life with grace and feeling and taught her piano students to do the same.
In addition to her musical talents, Heather was an accomplished seamstress and crocheter who could create anything her imagination could dream up. Heather was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had a strong testimony of the Gospel which she never faltered in and was never afraid to share with others. One of her greatest abilities was to uplift the downhearted. She greeted everyone with a smile a hug and a compliment and left sticky notes of encouragement wherever she had been.
Heather is survived by her loving children; Kameron (Kara) Snarr of Spanish Fork, Alli (Kalin) Vandrimmelen of Payson, Christian (Mylee) Snarr of Salem, Pierce Snarr and Adele Snarr, also from Salem. Her mother Alice Chappell Christenson, and father Bruce F. Christenson. Her siblings: Miranda, Logan (Sara), Levi (Lacey), Hannah (Heston), Lafe (Pristine), Madee (Austin).
She was proceeded in death by her grandparents, Wendell and Burla Chappell of Lyman; and Keller and Marian Christenson of Gunnison.
Heather’s purpose was to teach others how to love, love God, love themselves and each day to love others.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday November 1, 2025, at 1 PM at the Gunnison Stake Center, 80 West Center Street in Gunnison. A viewing will take place prior to services from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
