Redmond, Utah - Eva Mae Dustin Pickett, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away Sunday March 22, 2026 peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and devotion to her family.
She was born on February 8, 1946, in Driggs, Idaho. Eva Mae graduated from Teton Valley High School in 1965 and later graduated from Stevens-Henager College. On February 17, 1967, she married the love of her life, Jerry Bronzel Pickett, in the Swiss Temple. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and quiet acts of service that touched countless lives.
Eva Mae was known for her kind heart, steady hands, and tireless desire to serve others. She found joy in quilting, square dancing, cooking, and baking—especially during the holidays, when her home became a place of warmth, delicious food, and joyful gatherings. She lovingly canned chokecherry syrup and preserved fruit year after year, filling both shelves and hearts. A gifted and thoughtful crafter, she created meaningful treasures for her family, including receiving blankets, pocket pillows, and eagle blankets for her grandchildren. In Ephraim, Eva Mae and Jerry carried on a cherished Christmas tradition, creating and displaying handcrafted wooden cutouts. They spent days setting up their festive display, complete with lights, delighting in watching members of the community drive by and enjoy the spirit of the season.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Eva Mae faithfully served in numerous ward and stake callings throughout her life. She shared her love and testimony through service in the Young Women, Relief Society, and Primary organizations. Her compassion was felt by many, including the sisters she remembered each Christmas with hand-crocheted dishcloths made with care and love.
Above all, Eva Mae’s greatest pride and joy was her family. She cherished every moment spent with them and leaves a legacy of love that will continue for generations. She is proud of her missionaries - 4 grandchildren are currently serving missions, and one will be departing soon.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Pickett; her son, Michael (Camille) Pickett ; and her daughters, Monica (Kent) Drew , Stephanie (Troy) Parkinson, Jerilyn (Nate) Rock, and Colette (Karl) Cox. She is also survived by her brothers, Wesley Dustin and Todd (Jennifer) Dustin; her sisters, Robyn Anderson (Dave), Lorraine Bone (Don), and Sherri Ivie (Randy); as well as her sisters-in-law, Donna Giguiere and Nancy Dustin. She leaves behind 20 grandchildren, 2 great-granddaughters, and 3 great-grandsons who will be coming soon.
Eva Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Monroe and Vera Jean Dustin, and her brothers, Dellas Dustin and Erroll Dustin.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the caregivers and staff of the Seasons of Santaquin where she has resided during the final months of her life, as well as Health Watch Hospice team, especially Kylie and Kristy, for their compassionate and attentive care. Eva Mae will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
