Nephi, Utah - Edgar Levi Taylor, age 94, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025, in Payson, Utah. Born on January 1, 1931, in Salina, Utah, Edgar lived a long and active life marked by dedication to family, service to country, and an enduring passion for building and creating.

A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Edgar served as an Airman during the Korean War. His time in the military reflected his deep sense of duty and commitment-qualities that would define his life in the decades that followed.

After his service, Edgar channeled his energy into building and remodeling homes. Whether constructing from the ground up or breathing new life into existing structures, he found joy and purpose in working with his hands. His craftsmanship left a lasting mark on every project he touched. Never one to sit still for long, Edgar was known for always being on the go-whether it was tackling a new home improvement task or tinkering with his beloved 1931 Model A. That classic car became both a labor of love and a symbol of his enduring curiosity and mechanical skill.

Edgar shared his life with his devoted wife of 73 years, Carrie Taylor of Nephi, Utah. Together they raised four children: Cindi (Dave) Southwick of Lehi, Utah; Laina (Larry) Black of Phoenix, Arizona; Eddie (Sherie) Taylor of Redmond, Utah; and Alan (Bret Gardner) Taylor of Palm Springs, California. Edgar's legacy continues through his 12 grandchildren and 46 great-grandchildren-a testament to the strong family foundation he helped build.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, two grandsons, and a granddaughter. Their memories remained close to Edgar's heart throughout his life.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate team at the Payson Veterans Home for their loving care during Edgar's final days.

May Edgar Levi Taylor's memory bring comfort to those who knew him and inspiration to all who honor lives well-lived through service, hard work, and devotion to family.
