Dillon NJ Bates Profile Photo

Salina, Utah - Dillon NJ Bates, 33, born on April 19, 1992, passed away September 3, 2025 at 3:33 PM. He was the beloved husband to Bevenee Lorraine Bates, and son of Sam and Candy Bates.

Dillon loved everything outdoors: golfing, fishing, hunting, long razor rides, and camping. He looked forward to his annual family trip to Sand Hollow where he could take his kayak out on the water and fish. Dillon could talk to anyone about anything and would give you his philosophical insight to whatever the topic was. When you saw Dillon, he was often accompanied by his twin brother, Colton. The Bates Twins were known by everyone in town.

Dillon was a bright light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him. His heart was even bigger than his size! His journey on this earth was one marked by love, compassion, and empathy toward everyone. His passing has left a deep void in the hearts of his family, friends, and many others whose lives were touched by him. He was an angel on this earth and will continue to be an angel in our lives. Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories.

We would also like to extend our deepest gratitude to Dr. Jon Mitchell and Dr. David Garry, for ultimately saving his life and giving us 10 more months with him.

Dillon is survived by his loving wife Bevenee, his step daughter Ella Nickole, his step son Dylan Steven, parents Sam and Candy Bates, brothers Derek (Fiona, niece Alexis), Josh (Shontaye, Nephew Ridge), and twin Colton (Michela), beloved grandma Sheradeen Peterson, Mother-in-Law Margi Turner and Father-in-Law Craig (Cindie) Gordon.
