Obituary

Dennis Vallejos passed away peacefully in his home in Utah after a courageous battle with renal cell carcinoma at the age of 65. It was a moment filled with love, peace and faith.

Dennis was born in Walsenburg, Colorado to Salomon "Benny" Vallejos and Dolores "Jean" Vallejos-Ontiveros. Raised in Colorado Springs, he attended Widefield High School and went on to further his education. Over the last several years he lived between Utah and Colorado.

Dennis lived an adventurous life and embraced his experiences that created memories he treasured. In his early professional life he worked internationally in the field of technology. He was a sports fanatic and an avid golfer who found happiness in sharing the love for the game with others. The peace of being outdoors and spending time in the mountains were looked forward to in his later years. If you knew Dennis, he had a humorous side to him and seemed to always leave a trail of laughter.

He had a deep faith and love for the Lord which was a cornerstone of his life. Several years ago he worked with the Potters House of Denver in the Prison Ministry where he preached and offered solace to many.

Dennis is survived by his partner Kenna Vallejos, who stood by him with unwavering support and love. His two children: Joshua Vallejos and Dennis Vallejos Jr; His sister, Lorri Vallejos ; and his brother Robbie Vallejos (Monica Vallejos) ; three step- children, and 11 bonus grandchildren who lovingly called him pompo ; and his numerous friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his father, "Benny" Vallejos, and his mother, Dolores "Jean" Vallejos-Ontiveros.

In keeping with Dennis's wishes, he will be cremated and no funeral services will be held. A celebration of life will take place in Colorado in the spring or summer. Details will be announced at a later date.

Cremation is under the care of Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
