Teasdale, Utah - Our kind and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and neighbor, Deila Bentley Stewart, "Aunt Dilly" age 65, passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at her home in Teasdale, just 4 short days after her beloved husband. Deila was born January 15, 1954 in Richfield, a daughter of James Alfred and Lila Giles Bentley. She graduated from Wayne High School, Class of 1972. She married Allan Dan Stewart November 1, 1971 in Bicknell, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple May 12, 1988. He died May 22, 2019. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in the Scouting Program, Nursery Leader and in the Primary. Deila was a 4-H Leader and she worked as the custodian at Wayne High School for 22 years and was known and loved by many over the years. She loved doing arts and crafts, fishing the Fishlake and Fremont River and spending time baking with her grandchildren. She loved quilting. Deila loved her children with all her heart. Her grandkids were her pride and joy. Deila and Dan were always together, inseparable in life and in death. She is survived by her children: Dana and Shane Christensen of Cane Beds, Arizona; Allan Stewart, April and Daren Morrison, Casey and Felicia Stewart, all of Teasdale; 22 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorthy Okerlund of Lyman; sisters-in-law: Sharon and Steve Gurr of Loa; Bessie Stewart of Bicknell and Dixie Christensen of Richfield. She is preceded in death by her father: James Bentley; her mother: Lila Giles Christensen Bentley; siblings: Steve Levi Christensen, Glenda Christensen, Keith Giles Christensen, Addie Lou Lambertson; Penney Adams and Jimmy Bentley; and in-laws: Deloy Stewart and Judy Taylor. Joint funeral services for Deila and Dan will be held Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 1:00 P.M. in the Teasdale Cultural Hall, where friends may call for viewing Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Wednesday morning from 11:00 to 12:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Grover Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
