Connie Rae Lewis

Sevier, Utah - Connie Rae Jones Lewis, age 71, passed away in Sevier, Utah. She was born on December 13, 1954 in Gunnison, Utah to Ray and Georgia Jones.

Connie grew up in Gunnison and attended Gunnison High School. She married David B Lewis in Salt Lake City on January 13, 1995. 

She loved her children, grandchildren, and fur grandchildren deeply, and showed her love through everyday life—baking homemade bread, sharing stories, gardening, and filling her home with laughter and small thoughtful gestures. She enjoyed life’s simple pleasures like sunshine, a cold beer, hummingbirds in her garden, and wind chimes in the breeze. Strong-willed, honest, and a little stubborn, she lived life on her own terms and always spoke her mind, but beneath that was a deep devotion to her family. She took pride in herself, her home, and the memories she created with those she loved. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her love, strength, and humor.

Connie is survived by her husband David, of Sevier; her children: Brett Sorensen of Salina, Bridget Hullinger of Vernal, Amanda Barney of Hurricane, Sabrina Barton of Cedar City; step-daughters: Haley Lewis/Bown and Katie Lewis/Bown; siblings: Bonnie Hawkins, Betty Lewis, Johnnie Jones all of Centerfield; and 6 grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Georgia Jones.

Cremation services are under the care of Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina.
