Salina, Utah - Clyde Paul Okerlund, age 84, passed away with loved ones by his side in Salina, Utah on July 28, 2026. He was born on September 18, 1941 in Salina to Clyde Pershing Okerlund and Helen Ivy Larsen.

Paul grew up loving his time spent with his grandparents. He attended North Sevier High School, graduating in 1959. During his school years, he enjoyed playing basketball. After high school, he served for 4 years in the United States Army.

Paul married the love of his life, Marsha Barrett in Salina, Utah on January 29, 1966. Sadly she passed away on February 21, 2024. He enjoyed many hobbies and was a great craftsman. He did amazing leather work, wood burning, painting, rug making, wood carving, picture framing, basket weaving and furniture making. Paul loved to spend time outdoors, hunting and fishing with family and friends as well as camping at Fish Lake and Acord Lakes.

Paul is survived by his children: Lori Ann (Mike) Seidel of Riverton; Thad KC (Emily) Okerlund of West Haven; Coni (Brad) Burnham of Salina; Cindi Okerlund (Kristin Roberts) of Salina. In addition to 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, sister and brother-in-law, Janet (Jim) Towers of Murray, many nieces and nephews and of course his beloved dog, Nip!

He is preceded in death by his wife, Marsha Barrett; parents, Clyde and Helen Okerlund; parents-in-law, Keith and Vaneese Barrett; brother, Don Okerlund, sister-in-laws, Jolayne Okerlund, Holly Barrett and Bonnie Erdei; brother-in-law, James Erdei.

He is an active member of the LDS Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He loved his time as a missionary in Cove Fort, Utah in 2011, fulfilling a lifetime goal with his sweetheart Marsha.

Graveside Services for Paul will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday July 31st in the Salina Eastside Cemetery. Friends may call for viewing from 1:00- 1:30 P.M. prior to services at the Springer Turner Funeral Home, 150 East Main Street, Salina Utah. 

The family would also like to extend a special thank you to Zions Way Hospice, Cindi, Koal, Becca, and Lori for the wonderful care of Paul this past year.

Burial will be in the Salina Eastside Cemetery under the care of Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
