Our kind and precious mother, mama, mamaw, sister, beloved aunt and friend stepped into the arms of her Savior, her husband and her precious son on August 23, 2020 in Richfield, Utah. Claudia was born October 24,1936 in Phillip, Mississippi to Hillman Layfette and I.V. (White) Turbeville. Claudia married Malcolm McNair Wilson in Memphis,Tennessee at their beloved Harris Memorial United Methodist Church on March 12, 1955. To this blessed union were born 4 precious children as mom always called us. Mark Clifton, Frank Hillman, Katrina Rhea and Claudia Kaye. They lived in Memphis for many years and later moved to Hardeman County, Tn where Malcolm returned to his Heavenly home on March 8, 2010. Claudia was an active member in the United Methodist Church where she served in many callings including the President of the United Methodist Women. She and Malcolm sang in the choir for many years and often sang at Weddings and funerals. Mom was a pink lady at Methodist Hospital for many years and always kept the road hot by taking meals, treats and visiting her many shut ins. She volunteered many years for meals on wheels as well. Mom is survived by her children Frank (Irina) Wilson Sparks, NV and their 3 children, Bella, Elizabeth and Malcolm; Katrina(Jimmy Lee) Saulsbury TN and their 2 children Alex Hammons and Heather Hammons both of Pensacola,Fl. Alex's son Toby, mom's precious great grandson; Claudia K Ross and hers and Brett's 3 boys, Jackson, Adam and Matthew all of Richfield; her siblings: Jane (Walter) Winters Ogden,Ut.; Frances F. "Mann" (Debbie-deceased) Turbeville of Gleason,TN.; brother-In-Laws: Ervin C.Wilson, Memphis; Terry (Lynda) Wilson also of Memphis and Jerry (Reeder) Wilson of Jackson, TN and many nieces, nephews and friends all who she adored. Wilson, her precious son Mark C Wilson, her parents; grandparents, mother and father-in-law; siblings Charles "Baby Ray" Turbeville, James Louis Turbeville, Hillman Stanley "Tubby" Turbeville, Ethel Modene Graham, Webster V.Turbeville and son in law R.Brett Ross. Mom was a woman of many talents. She was a high school basketball star and throughout her life shined in anything she tried. She worked cheerfully to support her husband and children and as such was a wonderful wife and mother. Services are to be determined and held at a later date in Tennessee. Our family would like to thank Gunnison Hospice for the love and care they have shown our precious mother. In closing I find it only fitting to share mom's favorite scripture: “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7
