Lyman, Utah - Claudia Turner King, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025, at the age of 91. The youngest of seven children, she was born on September 27, 1934, in Lyman, Utah, to her loving parents, James Collier and Hazel Oldroyd Turner. Claudia is preceded in death by her husband Don Emery King, her parents James Collier and Hazel Oldroyd Turner and all 6 of her siblings.
On June 25, 1954, Claudia married the love of her life, Don Emery King. Their marriage was later sealed in the Ogden LDS Temple in August 1980, signifying their eternal commitment to one another.
Claudia and Don began their married life in Lyman before moving to Orem, Utah. While Don served in the US Army, Claudia established herself in the community, working at Albertsons for many years and forging numerous lifelong friendships. Later, they moved north to Roy, Utah, where they both embarked on careers at Mountain Fuel before eventually retiring from the company in 1991. In 1997, Don and Claudia returned to Provo, where they remained active members of the community.
Claudia was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She found great joy in serving others and held several callings throughout her life, but her favorite by far was when she was called to work in the MTC. Seeing the ambitious young missionaries ready to spread the word of Christ brought her much happiness and joy.
Family was the cornerstone of Claudia's life. She cherished spending time with her loved ones, especially during gatherings at East Canyon, annual birthday barbecues, and festive Christmas parties. But a close second was her support of BYU, particularly BYU football. Claudia cheered them on with unwavering enthusiasm and even dedicated numerous years volunteering as a "security guard" for BYU football practices.
Claudia is survived by her three children: Karleen (Ralph) Knudsen, Randall Don (Karen) King, and Jamie Lee (John) Warner. Her legacy continues through her 13 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life.
Claudia will be remembered for her kindness, unwavering faith, impeccable fashion sense, and dedication to her family and community. Her warmth and love touched the lives of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
The family would like to thank Inspiration Home Health & Hospice for their compassion and care for our loving mother.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 in the Lyman Cemetery.
Burial will be in the Lyman Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
