Chee Friday

April 23, 1949 — September 23, 2024

Richfield, Utah - Chee Friday was born on April 23, 1949, in Dennebito, Arizona to Bahe and Bert Friday. He was the second oldest of five children. He was raised there with traditional teachings and values. He and his older brother Keith were close and worked the family livestock together until Keith was drafted into the US Army. Chee attended grade school at Rocky Ridge through fourth grade. He then went to school in Tuba City for a short time, until he and his cousin brother Robert left to finish school in Chilocco, Oklahoma. He then went on to the Indian Trade School there Chilocco. He lived there with his aunt Nona Kee. Later, he moved back to Dennebito to continue to care for the family Homestead. He came to Richfield sometime in the early 90’s and started employment in the construction field. He did that for several years until he moved on to concrete work and did that throughout the rest of his life, until January 2023, when he had a heart attack. Throughout his 40+ years in the Sevier Valley, he has made many friendships and impressions on people. Chee was a jokester at heart with a work ethic unmatched. He left this world with grandchildren that adored him, and a vast extended family who loved him.

A private family graveside was held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
