Richfield, Utah / Las Vegas, Nevada - Charlie Scott Jr, age 61, passed away on March 19, 2026 surrounded by his family in Las Vegas, Nevada. 

He was born October 20, 1964 in Tallulah, Louisiana to Charlie and Kitty Viola Scott. Charlie had fond memories growing up with his siblings, playing basketball, football, and fishing. Charlie graduated from Tallulah High School in 1982. He went on to earn a Masters in Education and a Bachelors in Science. 

He married Cindy Lou Burr Scott in Richfield on February 23, 1990. Cindy preceded him in death on August 15, 2009.

Charlie was a jokester and he loved being surrounded by his family. He enjoyed coaching and sharing his love of sports. 

Charlie is survived by his three daughters: Chantia Allyse Scott, Cursie Jo Scott, and Chania Beri Viola Scott, all of Richfield; his siblings: Emmett Earl Anderson of Las Vegas, Nevada, Terry Lee Anderson, Jimmy Dwyane Scott both of Tacoma, Washington, Carma Lisa Scott of Las Vegas, Nevada, Tyrone Lorenzo Scott of Richfield, Timothy Ray Scott, Sarah L. Scott both of San Francisco, California; and 6 grandchildren, who he loved dearly. 

Preceded in death by his wife, Cindy Lou; son, Charlie Scott III; his parents; and brother, Micky Scott.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, March 27, 2026 at the Burrville Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 9:00-10:15 A.M. at the Springer Turner Funeral Home Chapel in Richfield. 

Burial will be in Burrville Cemetery under the care of Springer Turner Funeral Homes of Richfield and Salina.
