Carol Hansen's Obituary

Elsinore, Utah - Carol Fae Hansen, age 88, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on March 30, 2026, in Provo, Utah.

She was born May 20, 1937, in Central Valley, Utah, to Albert Anton Hanson and Geniel Miller. She was the third of six kids and was raised with a strong work ethic from a young age. She grew up helping on the family farm, driving tractors and caring for the animals daily.

She married James Varlyn Hansen on February 10, 1956, and they were later sealed for time and all eternity in the Manti Temple on January 19, 1957. For 70 years they built their lives together with unconditional love, raising six children: Larry (LaPreal) Hansen, Kathy (Dallas) Allen, Maxine (Kurtley) Peterson, Elaine (Robert) Christensen, Evelyn (Dave) Simmons, and Meredith (Jerred) LeFevre.

Carol was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She lived her life centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ and faithfully served her Heavenly Father in many callings throughout the years. She had a deep love for reading her scriptures, found joy in hymns and the spirit they brought into her life. She loved ministering with all her heart, always mindful of others, there lifting, caring, and serving her sisters. Her testimony reflected who she was, and how she lived, with kindness, grace, and unwavering faith in her Heavenly Father.

Carol was deeply loved by all who knew her, especially her family. Her influence will continue to shine through her children, and all the many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grands to come. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and grandmother, and her greatest joy was always her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert Anton Hanson and Geniel Miller; her sisters and brothers-in-laws, Mary (Wayne) Hermansen, Maurine (Duane) Gramse, and Niles Manwill; her grandson, Tyler Fritchie; and her great-grandson, McKay Hansen.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, April 11, 2026, in the Elsinore Ward Chapel.
