Brandon Barrowman

Orem / Richfield, Utah - Brandon Barrowman passed away on September 14, 2026, in Orem, Utah, after a courageous battle with rapidly progressive ALS. He was born on February 10, 1989, in Richfield, Utah, to Stephen LeRoy and Loraine Huntsman Barrowman.

From the beginning, Brandon was surrounded by a loving and close-knit family. He grew up in Monroe, Utah, with his three sisters, Britnee Bentley, Stephanie (Nathan) Seaich, and Nicole (Austin) Molchan. Together, they formed bonds that grew stronger through countless shared experiences and treasured family traditions. Some of their favorite traditions included yearly trips to California to visit their grandparents, with special days spent at Disneyland and the beach. The love, closeness, and family bonds he experienced growing up were qualities he carried with him throughout his life.

Brandon was blessed with many talents and interests. He participated in high school musicals, “Madrigals” choir, “One Voice” youth community choir, and he enjoyed playing tennis and golf. He also learned to play the piano and spent many years clogging. Some of Brandon’s favorite hobbies through his life included gardening, camping, fishing, playing board games, video games, watching movies, going for walks, eating ice cream, and laughing with the people he loved.

Brandon was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where his faith in Jesus Christ became an important foundation. Throughout the years, he faithfully served in many Church callings, including serving a full-time mission at the age of 19 in the Washington Everett Mission. He loved the people he served and the opportunity to share his testimony of the Savior.

One of the greatest blessings of Brandon’s life came when he married the love of his life and best friend, Jill Christensen. They were sealed for time and all eternity in the Draper Utah Temple on October 12, 2013. They are the parents of six precious children: Allison (11), Jake (9), Kenna (7), Jenny (5), Kate (3), and Zack (1). Brandon was an amazing dad who found great happiness and purpose in teaching his children the gospel. It was not uncommon for him to spend countless hours answering question after question from his kids about life and gospel teachings. He encouraged and lifted his family with his gentle way and made sure they always knew how deeply they were loved. Brandon and Jill treasured their time as parents and partners in this beautiful and busy life they were building together, simply enjoying the everyday moments of life side by side.

Brandon’s caring nature was also reflected in the career he chose. He became a registered nurse, dedicating his professional life to caring for and serving others. Throughout his nursing career, he worked at Sevier Valley Hospital, Timpanogos Regional Hospital, and the Utah County Health Department. Nursing was more than a profession for Brandon—it was another way he could use his compassion, knowledge, and desire to help make a difference in the lives of those he met.

Brandon’s passing leaves a profound emptiness in the hearts of those who loved him, but his memory will continue to live on through the family he cherished, the lives he touched, and the example he set. Even his last breath was given by helping others live their best lives. He was an organ donor and saved 3 lives with his liver and kidneys. His heart and lungs were donated to medical research, which in return will bless and save the lives of thousands. He is our hero.

Though his time on earth was far too short, Brandon’s life was a testament to the power of love, faith, and family. Brandon will be remembered by his honest spirit, his generous heart, and his quiet strength as a loving husband, a devoted father, a caring son, a loyal brother, and a compassionate nurse whose gentle presence touched many lives. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Orem: Funeral services will be held Friday, September 25, at 12:00 pm, with viewings Thursday, September 24th, from 6:00–8:00 pm and Friday morning from 10:00–11:30, at the Aspen 1st Ward building, 965 West 2000 North, Orem, Utah, under the direction of Utah Valley Mortuary.

Richfield: A Viewing will be held Sunday, September 27, 6:00–8:00 pm at the Richfield 2nd Ward building, 600 West 200 South, Richfield, Utah, with a graveside service and burial Monday, September 28, at 3:00 pm at the Richfield City Cemetery, under the direction of Springer Turner Funeral Home.
