Koosharem, Utah - Our kind and beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, Benjamin Howard Dale, age 78, passed away May 15, 2018 in Richfield, Utah. He was born November 16, 1939 in Bakersfield, California, a son of Curtis Howard and Mattie Lou Terrell Dale. He graduated from Banning High School, Class of 1957 in Wilmington, California. He served his country during the Cuban Mission Crisis in the United States Navy. Ben married the love of his life, Judy Beatrice Erickson, May 27, 1972 in Las Vegas, Nevada. They made their home in Salt Lake City, where Ben worked as a drywall finisher in construction. He worked on many homes and businesses in the Salt Lake Valley, including the LDS Church Conference Center. Ben retired after 22 years of working construction and they moved to Koosharem, to be closer to Judy's father, Merrill Erickson, where they have lived for the past four years. Ben enjoyed fishing and rock hounding. He is survived by his wife of Koosharem; children: Danette Nunes of Santa Fe, New Mexico; Denise Dale of Ely, Nevada; Denine Stephenson of Provo; Tracey and Gary Harris of Chico, California; Ronald and Kim Dale of Plumas Lake, California; Jon and Sherri Dale of Salt Lake City; 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; his father-in-law: Merrill E. Erickson of Koosharem. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three siblings: Marjorie Baker, Jay Holland and John Holland. Graveside services with military honors accorded by the Harold Brown American Legion Post #92 will be held Sunday, May 27, 2018 at 9:00 A.M. in the Koosharem Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
