Salina, Utah - Our kind and beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, Marjorie Crane Jensen, age 94. of Salina, passed away on February 9, 2015 in Pleasant Grove, Utah. She was born February 13, 1921 in Redmond, Utah, a daughter of Roland Smith and Elva Geneva Breinholt Crane. She graduated from North Sevier High School, Class of 1939 and then attended BYU in Provo for one and a half years. She married her sweetheart, Robert Soren Jensen, November 20, 1944 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died March 10, 2003. Marjorie was a very active member of the LDS Church. She loved our Savior Jesus Christ and had a strong testimony. She served many years in the gospel in various callings. She loved Family History Work and served for 21 years at the Family History Center in Richfield. She grew a beautiful vegetable garden every year, and enjoyed sharing her harvest with others. She loved her family very much. She loved to sew and especially loved to make quilts for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Geraldine and Wayne Cottle of Snowflake, Arizona; Janice and Randy Bristow of Orem; Margene and Gerald Mellor of Fayette; Brent and Carolyn Jensen of Midland, Michigan; Paul and Inalee Jensen of Salina; 21 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law: Eugene and Nancy Jensen, Elva and Mardell Jensen, all of Centerfield. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Maxine Jensen; a granddaughter, Lori Jensen; a brother and a sister: Roger Crane; LerLynn and Earl Sampson. The family would like to thank the Staff and Branch Presidency of Alpine Valley Care Center, and Tender Care Hospice for the love and compassionate care they have shown our dear Mom. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 20, 2015 at 12 Noon in the Salina 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 85 South 100 East in Salina. Friends may call for viewing at the Springer Turner Funeral Home in Salina, Thursday evening from 6 to 7 P.M. or Friday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Salina Eastside Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
