Karl G Hallows

September 25, 1931 — May 23, 2010

Aurora, Utah - Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother, Karl G Hallows, age 78, passed away May 23, 2010 in Richfield, Utah. He was born September 25, 1931 in Aurora, Utah, the fifth child of William Dwight and Lealuth Curtis Hallows. He married Gwen Merea Ramussen, January 16, 1951 in Salina, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple October 10, 1991. Karl lived his entire life in Aurora, raised in a loving family and attending school in Aurora and graduating from North Sevier High School. He was a welder by vocation, but a craftsman, designer and artist by avocation. He could fix anything we broke or build any project we could think of. Karl was a cowboy at heart, enjoying good times with friends and family on the round-up or chasing wild horses. But his favorite times were those spent camping, playing or just visiting with his good wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and other family and friends. Family time was as good as it could get. He will be dearly missed by his wife, Gwen, of Aurora; children: Teddy and Valerie Hallows of Salina; Jeff and Colleen Hallows of Aurora; Kelly and Marina Hallows of Las Vegas, Nevada; Troy and Dalene Hallows of Aurora; Trent and Lori Hallows of Salina; eighteen adoring grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren; brothers: Brice and Marilyn Hallows of Bountiful; Koze and Andrea Hallows of Heber City, currently serving in the Independence, Missouri LDS Mission; sisters and brother-in-law: Kay Hallows Brown of St. George; Rodney S. Rasmussen of Salina and Roene Greene of Dolan Springs, Arizona. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Kurt, Don and Dale; one sister: Geneal; his mother and father-in-law: Sharp and Gwendoland Rasmussen; brothers and sister-in-law: Verl and Naoma Rasmussen, and John Greene. Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 28, 2010 at 12 Noon in the Aurora 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Thursday evening from 6 to 8 P.M. or Friday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Aurora City Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
