Torrey,/Draper, Utah - Craig Nolan Mott, age 78, passed away November 10, 2005 at the Draper Rehabilitation Center in Draper, Utah, of a prolonged illness. Craig was born September 13, 1927 in Torrey, Utah, a son of Orval Jeremiah and Laura Ida Hickman Mott. He enlisted in the United States Army November 26, 1945 and retired from Walter Reed Hospital January 31, 1951. After being seriously injured in a head-on collision, Craig was released from Fort Campbell, Kentucky, February 15, 1950. From there he went to Walter Reed Hospital at Washington, DC. After years of ups and downs and health problems, Craig entered the Draper Rehab Center in 1981 and resided there until his passing. He was a member of the LDS Church and Craig loved riding horses. Craig married Oonaugh Ryan at London, England, May 15, 1948 and they were later divorced while he was re-covering from serious injuries while stationed at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Craig is survived by his brother, Glade O and Patricia Mott of Hooper; a sister, LaFonda (Einer, deceased) Macki of Richland, Washington; two nephews, Todd Orval and Colleen Mott of Logan; John Macki of Richland, Washington; one niece, Pamela Macki of Seattle, Washintgon. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and a brother-in-law. The family would like to extend a special thanks to all his friends and staff at the Draper Rehabilitation Center for their compassionate care and making his home there happy since 1981. Grave side services will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. in the Torrey Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Harold Brown American Legion Post #92 and under the direction of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
