Redmond, Utah - Carl Richard Freeman, age 76, died February 27, 2007 at his home in Redmond. He was born January 18, 1931 in Rapid City, South Dakota, a son of Abner William Phillip and Julia Amanda Powers Freeman. He married Ella June Hatch, June 17, 1976 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Carl retired after 25 years of Navy and Air Force Service. He worked at the Wilberg Coal Mine for over 10 years, as a Long Wall Operator, Electrician and Fire Boss. Carl was an active member of the LDS Church. He enjoyed reading, fly fishing, and he loved the mountains and horses. He is survived by his loving wife, June, of Redmond; his children: Debbie and Wendall Lund of Blanding; Carry and AnnaMaria Freeman of Centerville; Brent and Lisa Hatch of South Jordan; Cheryl and Mike Burns of Phoenix, AZ; David Matson of Murray; Dale and Marilyn Matson of Roy; Carlene Matson of Richfield; Lorie and Dusty Huntington of Castle Dale; 26 grandchildren 13 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters: Jimmy and Dorothy Freeman of Coalville; Melva and Dean Thomas of Murray; Maxine and Dick Tidwell of Ferron; Bob and Cleda Freeman of West Valley City; Walter and Bonnie Freeman of Ferron; Vernon and Sandy Freeman of West Valley City; Barbara Freeman of Elko, NV. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Christy Freeman Williams; a brother, Gordon Freeman and a sister, Eva Lou. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 3, 2007 at 12 Noon in the Redmond 1st LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 prior to the services. Burial will be in the Redmond Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah
