Bonnie Lee Wells Profile Photo

Gunnison, Utah - Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Bonnie Lee Pedersen Wells, age 93, died February 3, 2018 in Centerfield, Utah. She was born September 1, 1925 in West Yellowstone, Montana, a daughter of Oscar Laurentz and Irene Lois Lorey Pedersen. She married Lawrence Charles Wells, January 31, 1943 in Pocatello, Idaho. He died July 5, 2011. Bonnie and Lawrence lived and raised their children in Idaho and Nevada. They settled in Beryl Junction in southern Utah where they lived for 25 years. After her husband died in 2011, Bonnie moved to Gunnison where she has resided ever since. Bonnie was a published author and an accomplished artist. She taught art classes and enjoyed writing short stories. Bonnie is survived by her children: Larry David and Kitty Wells of Las Vegas, Nevada; Maralyn Sue and Dennis Whitney of St. George; Oscar Gary and Marianne Wells of Hitchcock, Texas; daughter-in-law: Wendy Wells of Hawaii; 16 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a sister: Peggie Landvatter of Gunnison. She is preceded in death by a son, Richard Delos Wells, who died two short weeks after his father; and a granddaughter. A special thanks to Stephen and Janet Hansen who went above and beyond in their care of Aunt Bonnie. They were there every step of the way and Bonnie must have said a hundred times that she did not know what she would do without them. Their service to Bonnie was unwavering and kind as one of them was always there to do whatever she needed. And without complaint or monetary compensation. They are true heroes to our family. Graveside services will be held Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 12 Noon in the Enterprise, Utah Cemetery under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield and Salina, Utah.
