Betty Jean Long Miller , our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, passed away peacefully after a valiant and courageous fight with cancer, on July 28th, at her daughter’s home in Salina at the age of 83. She was born on June 22, 1932 to Vernon Keith Long and Luella Chamberlain Long and was so grateful to be born on her mother’s birthday. She graduated Class of 1950 from North Sevier High School. She married Henrie L Miller Sr. on October 9, 1953, in the Manti LDS Temple. Together they had seven fantastic children. She worked many jobs throughout her life - the Sewing Plant in Manti, Utah; Librarian for both the Bookmobile and the Children’s Library in Danville, Illinois. Then in Salina, Utah she worked at the Pamela Movie Theater , R & R Furniture Store and Shaheen’s Best Western . She always put her children first and loved spending time with them. She was an angel here among us and her children will forever cherish her and her unconditional love. She enjoyed fishing, camping, shopping (especially on QVC), helping others, and traveling. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She really loved the gospel and was such a great example to so many. She always made you feel like you could do anything. She held many callings throughout her life; she especially loved visiting teaching and getting to know and visit each one of the sisters. She will be missed beyond what words can possibly express. We love you mom.!!!! She is survived by her children, Linda Fry, Lana (Marv) Christensen, Henrie L. (Lisa) Miller, Vernon (Lori) Miller, RoseAnn (Brent) Anderson, Mark (Tami) Miller, Ruth Milne (her favorite child), 28 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, siblings: Luann (Greg) Abbott, Dorothy (Gary) Gorman, John Long, Carolyn (Ron) Moosman.
